INGREDIENTS
165 g granulated sugar
5 g dried elderflower (about 2.5 teaspoons)
3 eggs
160 g flour 00
10 g baking powder
80 g cold melted butter
180 g apple (about 1)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Storica Sambuca to taste
Icing sugar to taste.

METHOD

Step 1

Blend the sugar with the elderflowers, adding a little Historic Sambuca.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Butter and then flour an 18 cm diameter mold.

Step 3

Beat the eggs with the sugar. Combine the sifted flour and baking powder, also add the melted butter.
Add the apples and the juice that will have formed, leave a few apple segments to decorate, mix well.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish, add the remaining apples and sprinkle with the sugar kept aside.
Bake for about 50 minutes, take out of the oven and let cool slightly by removing the mold.
Cool completely before serving.
